Founder of Version 22, a consumer housewares design startup, Simon Lyons graduated from Loughborough University in 2013 with a degree in Product Design Engineering.
His first product Geco Hub was recently backed on Kickstarter to the tune of £25,106, with the product being delivered in May 2015 to backers. The Geco Hub, a one-stop grab-and-go storage spot, has received many positive reviews from the likes of The Awesomer and Freshome. Simon and his product have also been featured in the Economist.
Working on Geco Hub for his final year project and within The Studio, a graduate commercialisation hub ever since, Simon has won many bursaries, awards and prizes for his innovative product. These include the Shell LIVEwire Grand Ideas Award, the James Dyson Foundation Bursary, and most recently Version 22 was voted the winner of Santander Universities Entrepreneurship Awards 2014.
